Terms of Service
These terms explain what you can expect from 886JetPet and what we ask of you when you use our website or engage us to relocate a pet. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1. Who we are and acceptance of these terms
886JetPet ("886JetPet", "we", "us") provides international pet relocation and travel coordination services, operating primarily from Taiwan and Singapore and serving clients worldwide. By using this website, requesting a quotation, creating an account or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or our services.
Where you sign a separate written service agreement, quotation or offer with us, the terms of that document prevail over these general terms for the matters it covers.
2. Our services
We plan and coordinate the international transport of pets: regulatory research, document preparation and pre-audit, permit applications, veterinary scheduling, flight booking, travel crates, quarantine arrangements and related door-to-door logistics.
- We act as a relocation coordinator and agent. Flights are operated by airlines, medical procedures are performed by licensed veterinarians, and import/export decisions are made by government authorities — each under their own terms and conditions.
- The scope of any engagement is defined by the quotation or offer you accept. Anything not listed in the accepted offer is outside the agreed scope.
- Timelines we communicate are careful estimates. Regulatory processing times, laboratory turnaround, airline schedules and quarantine availability can change without notice and are outside our control.
3. Quotations, prices and payment
- Quotations are prepared based on the information you provide (pet species, breed, size, route, dates). If that information changes or proves inaccurate, the price may change.
- Quotations are valid for the period stated on them; third-party costs (airline cargo rates, government fees, laboratory fees) may be adjusted if the third party changes them before payment.
- Payment terms, methods and schedules are stated in your offer. Services begin, and bookings are placed, once the agreed payments are received.
- Government fees, fines and charges levied by authorities or airlines after booking are passed on at cost unless your offer states otherwise.
4. Your responsibilities
International pet travel is a regulated process that depends on accurate information and timely action from the pet's owner. You agree to:
- provide complete and accurate information about yourself, your pet and its medical and vaccination history, and update us promptly if anything changes;
- supply requested documents (identity documents, vaccination records, laboratory reports) within the timeframes we communicate;
- make your pet available for scheduled veterinary appointments, treatments and inspections;
- ensure your pet is fit to travel and disclose any health or behavioural conditions that could affect its safety in transit; and
- comply with the laws of the origin, transit and destination countries.
Delays, additional costs or refusals caused by inaccurate information or missed deadlines on your side are your responsibility.
5. Third parties and government decisions
Border authorities, quarantine services, airlines and veterinarians make independent decisions that we cannot override. While we prepare and pre-audit every file to the current published requirements, we cannot guarantee that a permit will be issued, that a border authority will accept a document, or that an airline will carry a particular animal on a particular flight. Where such a decision goes against a compliant file, we will assist in resolving it, but we are not liable for the decision itself.
6. Changes and cancellations
- If you change route, dates or scope after accepting an offer, we will re-quote the affected items. Third-party change and cancellation fees (airlines, quarantine facilities, laboratories) apply as charged by those parties.
- If you cancel an engagement, fees for work already performed and non-refundable third-party costs already incurred remain payable; any other refund is handled as described in your offer.
- We may suspend or end an engagement if continuing would require us to breach a law or regulation, if payments are not made, or if the pet is not fit to travel safely.
7. Liability
We perform our services with professional care and skill. To the extent permitted by applicable law:
- our liability for any engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that engagement;
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as accommodation, lost income or replacement travel) arising from delays or decisions by third parties; and
- the carriage of animals by air is subject to the airline's conditions of carriage and applicable international conventions, which govern the airline's liability in transit.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
8. Website use, accounts and content
- Content on this website (guides, checklists, route information) is general information, not legal or veterinary advice. Regulations change; the requirements applied to your journey are those confirmed in your engagement with us.
- If you create an account, keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- The website's text, design, logos and images belong to 886JetPet or its licensors and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission.
- You agree not to misuse the website — including attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, or submit false or fraudulent requests.
9. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information — including the documents needed for permits and health certificates — is described in our Privacy Policy. Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in the Cookie Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when our services or the law change. The version published on this page applies from its "last updated" date. Material changes affecting an ongoing engagement will be communicated to you directly.
11. Governing law and disputes
Unless a mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), and disputes will be resolved by the competent courts there. We will always try to resolve any concern directly with you first — please contact us before taking formal steps.
