“Yumi, my Golden Retriever, was born in the Philippines, and I needed help relocating him to Taiwan. Despite the different country requirements and language differences, the 886JetPet team guided me calmly, clearly, and professionally in English from start to finish. The pricing was fair and transparent, with no hidden costs, and I was kept updated every step of the way.”

What the agency handles on an import
A Taiwan import is a chain of records tied to one arrival date. We own the whole chain.
Eligibility and planning
Breed check (Pit Bull Terrier types cannot enter), origin classification, the sampling date that fits your move, and a timeline built backwards from arrival.
Rabies vaccination and titer
Vaccine timing after the microchip, the blood draw at a WOAH reference or APHIA-designated laboratory, result ≥ 0.5 IU/mL, reconciled against the chip number.
APHIA e-permit and quarantine
Permit filed at least 20 days before arrival, quarantine space reserved, and the 120-day or direct-reporting route prepared where your dates allow a waiver.
Health certificate
Review of the origin government's certificate in APHIA's format, including the endorsement rules of the exporting authority.
Flights and crate
Live-animal booking as excess baggage or manifest cargo, an IATA-compliant crate sized to your pet, and a backup routing if an embargo hits.
Arrival in Taiwan
APHIA counter clearance at Taoyuan, Songshan or Kaohsiung, transfer to the quarantine facility when it applies, and delivery to your door.

Every other origin follows the titer-and-quarantine track described in the Taiwan import guide. Verified against APHIA on 26 October 2026.
How an import runs
Enquiry and feasibility Day 1 to 2
- You tell us the pet, the origin and the dates. We check breed, origin classification and airline options, and reply with an itemised quote and a draft timeline.
Timeline built backwards Week 1
- Microchip and vaccination checks, the titer draw date, the permit filing date, the certificate window and the flight, all on your dashboard.
Veterinary and laboratory sequence Months before travel
- We coordinate with your vet and the laboratory, and reconcile every record against the microchip number while a mismatch is still fixable.
Permit, airline and crate Weeks before travel
- APHIA e-permit and quarantine reservation, confirmed live-animal space, an IATA crate sized to your pet, and the final health certificate inside its window.
Arrival Travel day onward
- Counter clearance, the 7-day quarantine or its waiver, and delivery to your door. You see each milestone as it happens.
How the price is built
No headline price, because no two imports share one. Every quote is itemised on these lines, and three decisions move the total: the pet's size, excess baggage versus manifest cargo, and whether quarantine applies.
| Line | What sets the amount |
|---|---|
| Coordination | Flat for the move: coordinator, dashboard, document review, backup plan |
| Flight | Crate volume and weight, excess baggage versus manifest cargo, direct versus transit |
| Crate | IATA size for the pet; one size larger for flat-faced breeds |
| Veterinary and laboratory | Vaccination, titer laboratory fee, health certificate and endorsement at origin |
| Government and quarantine | NT$100 at arrival; quarantine transport and boarding when the 7 days apply |
| Ground | Airport handling, transfer and delivery in Taiwan |
Typical ranges per line are in the cost guide; Taiwan's own charges are in Taiwan pet import fees.
Tell us the pet, the origin and the month. The quote comes back itemised, with the timeline attached.

From clients who imported with us
“I moved to Taiwan for work from the Philippines and needed an agent who could help me quickly, as my relocation was happening soon. As a non-Mandarin speaker, I felt it was best to work with an English-speaking agent based in Taiwan who could handle all the local import paperwork. I was relieved that 886JetPet not only managed the Taiwan import requirements but also took care of the Philippine export paperwork. It saved me so much time and spared me the worry of missing something important. We’re now safely in Taiwan!“
“Handling a move from Korea to Taiwan and I was looking for an English-speaking agent who could help with the Taiwan importation process and requirements. Everything was fast and clearly communicated to me. Thank you for all the tips for crate training and what to look out for when arriving in Taiwan. Helpful to hear from a fellow pet owner on pet-friendly spots, festivities and weather to look out for!”
Questions before booking an import
What does the pet import service include?
Everything between your first message and your pet at your door in Taiwan: the eligibility check (breed, origin classification, dates), the rabies titer calendar, the APHIA e-permit and quarantine reservation or waiver filing, review of the origin country's health certificate, the airline live-animal booking, the IATA crate, airport clearance at Taoyuan, Songshan or Kaohsiung, and transport to your home. Veterinary fees, laboratory fees, government fees, the flight and quarantine boarding are itemised on the quote and paid at cost.
Which countries can you import from?
Any origin. The procedure depends on whether APHIA lists the origin as rabies-free (Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Estonia, the Czech Republic, and Hawaii and Guam in the United States) or treats it as rabies-infected, which is every other country, including the mainland United States, Canada and the rest of Europe. We run both tracks.
How long does an import to Taiwan take to arrange?
From a rabies-infected origin, about four months once the microchip and vaccination are in place, because the titer sample must be at least 90 days old on arrival; seven to eight months if you want the 7-day quarantine waived. From a rabies-free origin, a few weeks to three months.
Can you arrange the quarantine waiver?
The 7-day post-entry quarantine is waived in any of three cases: (1) the pet was blood-tested in Taiwan before export and re-enters within one year of that sampling; (2) the blood was sampled 180 days to one year before arrival and the permit was filed at least 120 days ahead; or (3) the blood was sampled 180 days to one year before arrival, the permit was filed at least 20 days ahead, and the passing report reaches APHIA directly from the laboratory or the exporting country's quarantine authority (rabiesreport@aphia.gov.tw, or retrievable on the laboratory's website). APHIA makes the final decision, so quarantine space is still reserved. We plan the sampling date and the filing route so that your dates qualify where they can.
Do I need to be in Taiwan when my pet arrives?
No. With a letter of authorisation we clear your pet at the airport, handle the quarantine transfer where it applies, and deliver to your address or to a boarding partner until you arrive.
How is the service priced?
Every quote is itemised line by line: coordination fee, flight, crate, veterinary and laboratory work, government fees, quarantine where it applies, and ground transport. There is no headline price because no two moves share one; you see each line before you commit.
