Why should I engage 886JetPet to handle relocation of my pet?
In addition to meeting the legal requirements of countries that mandate a licensed import agent for pet travel, we help you avoid costly mistakes, wasted time, and unnecessary stress for your pet — by handling everything the right way from the very start.
How far in advance should I start engaging your services?
Start planning 2–4 months ahead for most destinations; more for Australia/New Zealand or places requiring titers or quarantine. Lead times help avoid rush fees and reduce itinerary constraints. While we may accept rush cases, we highly encourage more time allocated not just to ensure all requirements are correctly prepared, but also for your pet's comfort in preparing for the journey. Crate training is an important element of the journey and as pet owners ourselves, we want to reduce discomfort as much as possible!
How do I know if my pet breed can be imported into Taiwan, or exported from Taiwan safely?
Please provide the details in the START YOUR PET'S JOURNEY section and we'll review and get back to you if your pet is eligible! For dogs - many airlines restrict or prohibit brachycephalic breeds during hot seasons or entirely. Alternate routing, ground segments, or specialized carriers may be needed. Some breeds such as Pit Bulls and American Staffordshire Terriers are also banned to enter Taiwan. For cats - many countries classify hybrid/wild cat breeds (e.g., Bengal F1–F4, Savannah F1–F4, Caracat) as wild animals depending on how many generations removed from wild ancestry. Early-generation hybrids can behave more like wild animals and pose potential biosecurity, safety, or ecological risks thus some governments regulate or ban early-generation hybrids.
Can my pet fly in-cabin with me?
Regulations vary by country and airline, and also based on breed. Let us know your destination and airline in the START YOUR PET'S JOURNEY section so we may advise accordingly.
Is quarantine compulsory?
As cases vary based on destinations and timeframe we are working with, please fill in the START YOUR PET'S JOURNEY section as accurately as possible and we will review if quarantine is absolutely necessary. In some cases, with early application and proper preparation, it may be possible to qualify for a quarantine-free arrival.
What if my destination requires quarantine?
Quarantine arrangements are included in your 886JetPet package! We coordinate timing so your pet meets health checks and quarantine intake windows without delays and also handle quarantine booking. On your part, the only thing you need to handle is to make sure documentation is consistent and pay the quarantine facility directly (we will give precise instructions for payment and visitation procedures).

Can you help with airline‑compliant crates?
Yes - for pets departing Taiwan we can help supply an IATA-approved crate at an optional additional fee. We encourage you to start crate training as soon as possible so that your pet can get accustomed to being inside the crate for the duration of the flight.
What payment currencies and payment methods are accepted?
We accept payments via international bank transfer in USD and EUR for our pet relocation services coming to Taiwan. For pet relocation services departing Taiwan, we accept payment via local Taiwan bank transfer in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD). All other Taiwan-based local services, such as pick-up and delivery, are charged in New Taiwan Dollars (NTD).
